A Host Of Forgotten Dreams

I just watched it for the first time in years. I forgot how much fun that movie is! And omgzorz... pre-tom cruise Katie Holmes?! HAWT!

I also downloaded 'Down' by Jay Sean and I love it.

I can't find my toothpaste. I have no idea where it went...

Upon some thinking, I am considering making my whole lj friends only. Does anyone know if I get a paid account, mass- edit my entries to friends only and then stop getting the paid account if all my entries revert back? It was sort of unclear from ljs description...

Last night, I had a strange dream... I was back in high school (of course) and sort of getting bullied by these 2 asian guys. One pushed me and I pushed him back and then his friend pulls a gun on me. In the classroom. And it was very freaky! And then I went to my next class where we were reading some piece of literature and then dissecting all the various storylines, real or sort of made up. And then, we watched a video relating to the movie and did the same thing for that. It was very odd...

Other than that, today, we are going to a pizza buffet for lunch and having a crazy party at night.

Yesterday, I ended up buying a theme deck from the new mtg coreset. Why? It was the white one because it has Honor of the Pure in it. Sweet! $12 card in the deck. So in other words, I got that and the rest of the deck for $1. Deal!

Anyways, today will be a good day.

"Bored of Your Love" by Meg and Dia is my current favorite song. It is a bit cheese-tastic but I like it. I like the tonal shift sort of thing that they do in the middle of the song, the dichotomous nature of the relationship between the singers, and how it is sort of heart felt on both sides.

I was in Charlottesville for the last 2 days before I came back to MLBS today. I did a lot of greenhouse work and when I wasn't at the greenhouse, I was playing PS2. Non-stop.

I watched the Taylor Swift/T-Pain video and loved it.

Dude. Good times. Pictures to come at some point maybe.

Today is an inside day for me. Why? I spent the last 3 days in the rain doing fieldwork. In the rain. Good times. I didn't know if I would ever be dry again. Thats an exaggeration of course.

Other than that, I've just been doing my thang, trying to get data and such blah blah blah. Thats all I guess...

1. Remember when Pacey was dating Joey? That shiz broke my heart. I just saw a bunch of screen caps from like season 3 and it was sorta suxors. That season upset me to no end.
2. My plants are getting ready to bolt. @#$%*@))^_%(Q(#%^&^T!!!!!! This is great news considering I didn't think they were going to. That is the good news. The bad news is that I am going to go back to c-ville tomorrow and come back on Sunday. YEARGH!
3. I spent most of the day in the field and as such, I am super tired... I gotta get my field work muscles back into shape though... gotta get hella cut up. haha
4. It is a bit upsetting that I won't be able to play ps2 for a number or weeks...

dude there is hella lightning and thunder here and it is like a monsoon... crazy...

So since school is more or less over for the semester, I'm missing some key information to help me figure out what day of the week it is... For instance, on Weds, we have lab meeting and seminar. Thursday, I teach all day. Friday, we have another seminar and a TA meeting. I could normally use these days to figure out where I was in the week. I could also use the fact that Heroes is on on Mondays as a landmark. However, all of these things are gone now and I have nothing to use as a time piece... The days sort of all just blur together as I do go to work everyday and there isn't anything that completely differentiates the days... Alas, it must be summer...

I had a dream that I had a huge bathroom. In this bathroom, there was a giant 'poster' printer and a device that looked like both a toilet and a scanner. It was quite odd.

There was a cute bank teller and someone got her preggers.

I saw Wolverine. It was meh sorta... Granted, Wolverine isn't one of my favorite characters but there was a lot of extraneous stuff in the film that didn't have to be there. Cyclops and a faux-Emma Frost? I also wouldn't know who Will.I.am or the hobbit guy were supposed to be unless I looked it up on the interwebs. There was a decent amount of potential in the film as Wolverine has a whole host of villains. Oh well... I did like Agent Zero and the short appearance by Wade Wilson.

Over the weekend, I watched Sex Drive and it was really quite funny albeit totally inappropriate. Last week, I also watched Vantage Point which I thought was somewhat contrived and didn't really have a lot of mystery in it- I sorta knew what was happening the entire time without actually knowing exactly how things were going to end up.

I have also come to the conclusion that gin and tonics have a negative relationship with the desire to do work. I don't have a huge sample size but I'm pretty the trend is significant (ie p<.05).

I sorta can't wait for Friday to come... and by Friday, I mean Saturday when I'm not working... that much.

I also bought pokerface.

As of late, I have ha some trouble sleeping... Falling asleep and staying asleep has been a real challenge as of late. I'm not quite sure why. I have also been having cracked out dreams. I dreamed one of my committee members died. I had a dream a friend's parent died. I had a dream that someone plowed over my field experiment. I had a dream where I hooked up with this girl. And yes, all of these things were dreams and not reality.

The other day, I was trying to think if I had a favorite comic book title. I don't think I do actually! I liked the first 2 Runaways arcs a lot, I have always enjoyed Supergirl for some unknown reason (above and beyond she flies around in a skirt [I think that I like her because she is arguably one of the most powerful DC characters but she has a lot of issues in her life]). I like Astonishing X-men but there are a lot of situations where it is over-rated. More or less, I was trying to invent a comic book title that I would for sure buy. I honestly don't know what it would be that would make me buy a book...

I played Mario Kart Wii last night and it was super fun.

I somehow got sucked into MTG online... gawd there goes money flying out the window...

And say good bye to the rest of my weekends... Hello field work...

EDIT: I also dreamed that for my birthday, my mom gave me a 10 year old computer monitor. It was full of dust. I had to pretend to be really excited about it...
